Hello all,

 

I was mining some Netherrack in the Nether today so I could make a blast furnace, and a red, infernal silverfish came out of the blocks! That nearly gave me a hard attack but I managed to avoid being pushed into lava and killed them all. Just curious exactly what this creature is called and what mod adds it in.

Why would you say that? None of them seem to have anything to do with mobs, and while I do have Nether Ores enabled, nothing on the Power Crystal thread suggests it added new mobs.

 

I was thinking it might be Natura or Thaumcraft, as I know they've added Nether Mobs, but without a name I really can't search very easily.

I've had it on 152wgt as well, on the ZeroCraft server actually.

You should try to catch one in a safari net, that should give you a name.

Because in the history on the Power Crystals MCF thread it says something along the lines of, "Added Hellfish"

Hellfish are included in Nether Ores

There is a config tweak for them so you can disable them if you want. Look for the line with "HellfishEnable".

Alright, well thanks for the info, I guess I'd better write a page for these guys then. :P

 

Just curious, can we add mobs to the mod Nav pages or is that only for blocks/items?

You can add mobs to the mod nav templates; just don't use Template:NavItem to do this, as mods typically don't have a grid image that can be put into the nav template. Use a basic link (e.g. [[Nether Silverfish]]) in place of Template:NavItem instead. If you're confused, try using the mobs section of Template:TF-nav as an example.
