I am trying to make a Weak Binding Agent --

 

Into my Alchemic Chemisty Set I have put:

2 Simple Catalyst 17316

1 Clay 337

 

and my Apprentice Blood Orb (confirmed by NEI receipe)

 

The symbols coming off the unit are the red circles, which look like the same symbols which come off the blood altar when it's working.

 

However, it just puts off the symbols and sits there.

 

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

2 questions: did you bind the orb to your player, and is there life essence in your blood network? I'm not sure if it requires life points, but it might.

 

Oh, and how long did you wait for it to process?

4800LP in my network. Not sure about life essence? I just finished making the Apprentice Blood Orb.  I checked with the Divination Sigil, but it only gives me the LP.

 

Not sure about binding the orb to the player either -- tried to look up how to do that and cannot find it, I know I read it once but ... Can you tell me how to do that, so that I'm sure I've done it?

 

As for time -- it's still processing and putting out the symbols, so around six hours.

 

LOGGED OFF FORUM, WENT TO GAME, and ...

 

OK -- I figured out that I just needed to right click with the orb in my hand to bind it.  I did that, put it back in the set, and Whoosh! Done.

One question remains -- how does one check the life essence in their blood network? I think that might be good for me to know.

Divination sigil.

Life Essence and Life Points (LP) are two different names for the same thing, the blood you store in you soul network using blood orbs. As far as binding anything a simple right click should do, so long as it is from Blood Magic that is.
