I am trying to use a pair of camo gates to close my workshop to the world outside. If i had air blocks underneath where the gate would extend, the gate extensions were either obsidian or obsidian totem block (which i had as the doorway).

(In both screenshots, I am pressing a pressure plate to power the bottom camo gate)

But, if I had obsidian underneath where they would extend, Bricks would appear.

Brick Blocks, the ones made from bricks, from clay in a furnace. I had the frame of the workshop made of bricks, and thought that would somehow influence it, so I removed the whole frame and Brick Blocks were still spawned by the gates.. At first I thought it was because of the Obsidian Totem blocks below it, but they appeared when I had only air below. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Or knows how to fix it? Or even a cause?

Edit: I have found a way to get around the issue by placing obsidian slabs on the top half of the blocks where the gates extend over. That way obsidian blocks are extended from the gates and my floor matches.

The camo blocks have a default texture that they resort to if they are next to a block that they don't recognize (as many of the non-vanilla blocks). I'm not sure, but I believe that default texture may be brick.
