I take it this means theres no way to keep them spawning. Cheers for the help folks, will leave it up a couple days to make sure noone has anything :)

Hey folks, I've recently built myself an ender pearl farm on an ultimate server, and am trying to get it to function without me sitting beside it constantly.

 

It sits in the end, and has no spawners, just the way mobs naturally do here. I've already tried a quarry, and personal anchor to keep the chunks loaded, and they keep them up, but mobs do not spawn whilst I'm away.

 

The question i have is this: Is there any item to make the mobs spawn in the area whilst I'm not even in the end, let alone nearby?

You could probably use the Soul Shards mod to make an enderman spawner.

Soul shards are Donor only on the server, I'm looking for a free alternative
